13th September, 2011

Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) will be the first user in Malaysia of Quest’s Award Information Management System (AIMS) Grant Management Software. The signing of the end user licence agreement by Chairwoman of YUM and Chancellor of Multimedia University of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah was witnessed by Minister of State at the Irish Department of Education in Ireland, Mr Ciaran Cannon T.D, and Irish Ambassador to Malaysia H.E. Ambassador Declan Kelly.

Minister Cannon is on a 4 day official visit to Malaysia, where he will be witnessing a number of important contracts signing between Irish and Malaysian companies, fostering improved collaboration between both countries.

“The software will enable Yayasan Universiti Multimedia to manage funds disbursement end to end,” says CEO of Quest Computing Mr Don Kingston, at the signing ceremony together with local partner TeleVAS Holdings Sdn Bhd.

“Malaysia has taken huge steps in ensuring greater transparency as well as efficiency in the award of grants and soft loans. With the adoption of AIMS (Grant Management Software) we will be able to compliment the goals that are trying to be achieved and enable the processes to be streamlined and ultimately eliminate human errors throughout the overall process” says Mark Timms, CEO of TeleVAS.
