The promotional event took place on Thursday 15th October in the company of the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, at Hotel Le Royal in Luxembourg. The purpose of the event was to promote Irish-Luxembourg business links, and to provide a high level networking opportunity for guests. Dr. Andreea Monnat and Mr. Raymond Bauch from Fonds National de la Recherche accompanied Mr. Mervyn Colton of Quest to the reception where the president spoke about the value to quantity of work and projects that are being completed between Irish and Luxemburgish companies. About FNR: Since 1999, the National Research Fund (FNR) has succeeded in developing various thematic and structural funding instruments that helped to construct Luxembourg’s reputation as a research site. During the ten years of its existence, the FNR has constantly striven for optimal conditions in national research to bear international comparison. The Organisation is currently implementing AIMS Grant Management Software to streamline the management of these funding schemes.
